Citizen Science Projects
Citizen Scientists Wanted
Do you enjoy watching wildlife? Are you interested in contributing to monitoring habitat conditions and conserving the High Plains ecosystem? If you answered yes to these questions, you could be part of the Plains Conservation Center’s First Saturday Citizen Scientists group.
Citizen Scientists, from beginners to expert naturalists, will contribute to the PCC’s Biological Inventory by working with PCC naturalists to gather, compile and map information about our prairie residents. Information will be used to monitor changes over time and help make land and resource management decisions.
Survey work will take place the first Saturday of each month. Training is provided. The bird and mammal census is scheduled for 7 - 8:45 AM. Participants may choose to help with either survey or with both.
Registration is REQUIRED. To participate, or for more information, please contact Sara Aufderhar, at 303-693-3621 or info@plainscenter.org
